P und C im Verbund: Ein amorpher Phosphor-Kohlenstoff-Komposit wurde in einer Kugelmühle mechanisch aus rotem Phosphor und leitfähigem Kohlenstoffpulver synthetisiert. Durch eine außergewöhnliche Speicherkapazität für Natriumionen (1764 mA h g−1; siehe Diagramm) und eine sehr hohe Entladungsrate bietet sich der Komposit als Anodenmaterial für Natriumionenbatterien an.
