Mosquito infections with P. berghei had been described by Ramakrishnan and Prakash (1950) Rodhain and Vincke (1951) Yoeli and Wall (1951, 1952a, 1952b). So far only Anopheles stephensi, A. maculipennis atroparvus, A. quadrimaculatus, and A. gambiae, had been successfully infected. In this paper we describe the comparative infection of A. quadrimaculatus, A. aztecus, and A. albimanus with P. berghei as well as the cyclical transmission of P. berghei with infeced A. aztecus.
