Scoping review examines insomnia's impact on treatment outcomes in cancer patients, suggesting biological mechanisms.
This preregistration documents the protocol for a scoping review examining insomnia as a psychosomatic mediator between cancer pharmacotherapy and treatment outcomes. The review maps biological mechanisms linking immunotherapy- and anti-hormonal therapy-induced insomnia to survival, treatment response, and treatment adherence across all cancer types (pan-cancer approach). PRISMA-ScR guidelines will be followed.
