<ns3:p>One of the main goals of higher education institutions is to equip students with competencies valued by employers, both in the Polish and European labor markets. This is directly related to students’ educational and professional aspirations, as well as translates into their self-assessment of professional attractiveness. With the above in mind, the main objective of the conducted research was to identify the relationship between students’ educational and professional aspirations and self-assessment of professional attractiveness. The analysis in the article was based on the results of empirical research conducted on a sample of 336 students from the War Studies University in Warsaw. The research revealed the existence of a relationship between professional aspirations and self-assessment of professional attractiveness, while the relationship between educational aspirations and self-assessment of professional attractiveness was not confirmed. In the studies the factors that influenced the choice of a field of study were distinguished, students’ educational and professional aspirations were identified, and the relationships between aspirations and independent variables were determined. The results of the self-assessment of professional attractiveness and students’ financial expectations were also described.</ns3:p>
