Summary The relationship between sex guilt and sex behavior was examined among college students. The two variables were assessed by means of self report instruments and were found to be inversely related. Sex guilt was positively related to religious activity, whereas sex behavior and religious activity were negatively related. Although females reported a higher level of sex guilt than males, both sexes reported equal involvement in sex behavior. Females with high sex guilt and low sex behavior seemed to prefer G and GP rated movies and described themselves as reading fewer “obscene/pornographic” books. This relationship also tended to obtain for males.
