Why the study?
In young asymptomatic individuals with dyslipidemia and hypertension, tools are needed in clinical practice to clearly explain the impacts of these risk factors and motivate lifestyle changes or treatment, such as through the concept of vascular age.
Vascular age is discussed as a tool to communicate cardiovascular risk and motivate asymptomatic patients with hypertension and dyslipidemia to adopt lifestyle changes and treatment.
Vascular age may aid risk communication in asymptomatic hypertension and dyslipidemia; hypothesis-generating, with prospective trials needed before adoption.
