In this letter, we investigate an energy efficient power control design for resource sharing between cellular and device-to-device (D2D) users in orthogonal frequency division multiple access cellular network assisted D2D communication. To maximize the energy efficiency, we formulate a multiobjective optimization problem that is solved by the method based on the weighting coefficients. In this letter, we investigate the problem of power allocation under full and average intercell interfering channel side information (CSI) made available at the D2D transmitters to discuss the significance of having CSI of the intercell interferers at the D2D transmitters. The performance of the proposed algorithms are investigated via numerical analysis.
