SYNOPSIS. Adult mice, adult hamsters, 22‐day‐old rats, and 240–250 gram rats were each infected with one million parasitized red cells. Significant differences in the distribution of schizonts in the tissues of the four groups of animals ranked from the lowest to the highest were found to be as follows: young rats—blood, spleen, liver, bone marrow; older rats—blood, liver, spleen, bone marrow; adult mice—no significant difference between blood and liver, next in rank bone marrow, spleen; hamster—blood, but no significant differences among the organs.
