The Challenges of Community Care in Korea, focused on the public health care services

Successful settlement of community care in Korean society is an important task. Specially, it is necessary to successfully cope with the rapid aging phenomenon and extremely low birth rate, but it is also important for protecting and realizing the right to health as a human right. Community care has the meaning of innovation that completely changes the direction of the existing health care system. To achieve this, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has created guidelines and pilot projects have been started. It is still weak, but strategies, visions and detailed tactics should be well prepared for future implementation. For this purpose, it is essential that the philosophy of community care, the strategy for business execution, and the policy environment are well designed.
