Maqolada XX asrning 20-yillarida matbuotda tilshunos olimlarning lotin alifbosini shakllantirishga bo‘lgan urinishlari haqida so‘z boradi. Bu erda nafaqat tilshunos olimlar, balki maktab o‘qituvchilari, hamda tilga qiziquvchi boshqa soha vakillarining ham, shuningdek, davlat arboblarining ham alifbo to‘g‘risidagi fikr mulohazalari berilgan.
