Depolarized neutron diffraction of NaBH4 aqueous solution was measured at D3 diffractometer in Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL). Hydrogen gas is expected to be a clean fuel because it does not emit carbon dioxide when it burns. NaBH4 generates hydrogens gas at acidic conditions or by adding a catalyst. It is one of the potential sources of hydrogen. Depolarized neutron diffraction makes structure analysis possible without sample deuteration because it can extract coherent scattering of samples containing hydrogens by subtracting incoherent scattering from total scattering. This article reports the depolarized neutron diffraction experiment of NaBH4 aqueous solution in ILL.
