The present study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and achievement motivation among college students. The sample consists of 120 college students, comprising 60 males and 60 females, selected from different cities of Uttarakhand. The Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) developed by Dr. A.K. Singh and Dr. Shruti Narain and the Achievement Motivation Scale by Prof. Pratibha Deo and Dr. Asha Mohan were administered to the participants. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and independent samples t test were used for analysis. The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and achievement motivation. Female students report higher emotional intelligence and achievement motivation than male students, and the difference is statistically significant.
