A facile synthetic method for obtaining circularly polarized luminescence (CPL)-active aggregation-induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) is reported. The CPL effect of obtained molecules could be controlled by manipulating their aggregate behavior in the films. A maximal |glum| of ∼0.25 was found in the films treated by spin-coating and annealing. This work provides not only a facile method to obtain high-performance CPL materials but also many opportunities to further magnify the CPL effect with this class of AIEgens.
