SUMMARY This paper Describes the prevalence and types of behaviour problems found in a sample of 418 pre‐school children in North London. The data presented are based on information obtained from the parents of the children concerned. An association between behaviour problems and speech and language delay was found in the children of 2 Years and over. The implications for services to meet the needs of families with pre‐school children are discussed.
