A new conducting polymer, polyselenophene film is prepared by electrochemical polymerization. A band gap of undoped polyselenophene is evaluated as 1.95 eV and its conductivity is around 10 -9 S/cm at room temperature. The absorption spectrum changes remarkably, by the doping of acceptor like ClO 4 , and also the conductivity increases to 10 -4 S/cm.
