The nonequilibrium driven lattice gas with repulsive interactions is studied via dynamic mean-field theory. The resulting phase diagram for stationary states is in good agreement with recent simulation results of Leung, Schmittmann, and Zia Phys. Rev. Lett. 62, 1772 (1989). Interesting new predictions for the current at first- and second-order phase transitions also emerge.
