This paper proposes and describes an intervention approach, developed, during a five-year action research project, to address conflict management. The "Encounter of Social Selves" approach aims to help conflicting parties reach an open and rational dialogue that will enable them to achieve their goals through mutual trust, consent, and negotiation.
