Siblings of chronically ill children: A literature review with implications for research and practice.

A review of the literature provides the basis for a depiction of the life situation of the sibling of a child with a chronic disability or health problem. Children's responses to a sibling's illness and the factors associated with these responses are discussed. Major implications for researchers and clinicians are identified.
