Today the word ‘quality’ has new impetus and, stripped of all jargon, means meeting customer requirements through harnessing the commitment of every employee and developing supporting systems. Few are unaware of this international competitive pressure, but how many understand the true extent or have experience of introducing what is probably any organization's largest ever positive step? Recognition of people as the key asset and, more importantly, realization of their potential contribution through practical and continuous training, are essential for the cultural change needed. Through ‘quality’ customers are given peace of mind, and for any organization making continuous improvements there are greater security and major competitive advantages and benefits.
