Chronic fatigue syndrome [CFS] exhibits many of the same features as fibromyalgia. Defining both conditions rests on subjective complaints and excluding confounding problems. The approach to CFS should entail education, symptomatic treatment, antidepressants, graded exercise, and generous support.
