Objective: standard school students at selected schools in the District of Kanyakumari. Methodology: This cross-sectional study involved 200 students selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection included the administration of the DASS questionnaire alongside demographic information. Results: Internal consistency was found to be strong. However, limitations included concerns regarding the sample's representativeness and potential cultural biases. Conclusion: The DASS questionnaire proved valid and reliable. The results highlight the need for culturally adapted mental health tools in public-health interventions.
