The presence of plant-derived material can provide valuable evidence in legal proceedings, as it may corroborate or refute an alibi, determine the location of a person or object, estimate the time of death, or supply other relevant information in a criminal case. In this experiment, plant samples were collected and subsequently packaged and stored using different methods. The aim of this research was to monitor changes in plant samples, to monitor changes in physical properties of the plant Bellis perennis L. that was packaged in different ways and stored under different conditions in order to conclude which packaging and storage method was the most effective in preserving the characteristics. The physical properties that were monitored were: color, texture, shape, and odor of the plant material. The plants were packaged in paper bags, PVC bags, and herbarium, and were stored in the following temperature conditions: at room temperature and in the freezer. Changes in the plant were monitored through four phases, where one phase involves storing the plant for a week, and the plants were analyzed weekly. Bellis perennis L. is suitable for research because it is easy to find, collect and has flowers, which are important for monitoring changes.
