Intracoronary methylergonovine provokes exertion-induced coronary vasospasm with ~90% LAD stenosis and ischemia.

Navarrete et al. (2019) conducted a case report in Coronary artery spasm (variant angina) (n=1). Intracoronary methylergonovine was evaluated on LAD vessel diameter stenosis and Pd/Pa value during vasospasm test. Intracoronary methylergonovine testing successfully diagnosed exertion-induced coronary artery vasospasm by reproducing angina, reducing LAD diameter by 90%, and lowering Pd/Pa to 0.60.
