Communication interculturelle : regards croisés sur l’expression de la gratitude dans les contextes marocain et français

This study aims to compare the communicative practices between French spoken in France and Moroccan Arabic, focusing on the acts of thanking. The aim is to understand the underlying cultural differences through a comparative analysis of speech acts, particularly the acts of thanking, in both languages. The study falls within the field of contrastive pragmatics, which seeks to identify intercultural correspondences and dissonances in linguistic behavior. The results highlight that the comparison between the act of thanking in Morocco and in France reveals profound nuances in the way gratitude is expressed and perceived within these distinct cultures. Notwithstanding these differences, both cultures share a fundamental value of acknowledging others, thus emphasizing the importance of understanding cultural specificities in the context of intercultural communication. L’objectif consiste à appréhender les divergences culturelles sous-jacentes, en s’appuyant sur une analyse comparative des actes langagiers, en particulier les actes de remerciement, dans les deux langues. L’étude s’inscrit dans le champ de la pragmatique contrastive, qui vise à identifier les correspondances et les dissonances interculturelles dans les conduites linguistiques. Les résultats mettent en évidence que la comparaison entre l’acte de remerciement au Maroc et en France révèle des nuances profondes dans la manière dont la gratitude est exprimée et perçue au sein de ces cultures distinctes. Nonobstant ces différences, les deux cultures partagent une valeur fondamentale de reconnaissance envers autrui, soulignant ainsi l’importance de comprendre les spécificités culturelles dans le cadre de la communication interculturelle.
