Demonstrates improved nitrogen reduction in mesoporous titanium dioxide, suggesting efficient catalyst design methods.
Single‐atom catalysts (SACs) have been extensively explored for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction (NRR). However, reported NRR SACs often exhibit limited activity and selectivity. This highlight presents a lattice‐confinement strategy to construct a mesoporous Fe 1 S x @TiO 2 catalyst with excellent NRR performance, in which isolated Fe atoms are embedded in the TiO 2 lattice and stabilized as sulfur‐coordinated single‐atom sites. The open and ordered mesoporous architecture further facilitates mass transport and maximizes the exposure of active sites, leading to enhanced NRR activity. This work offers an effective pathway toward designing efficient NRR electrocatalysts under ambient conditions.
