Thesis presents a novel and stories examining ethical dilemmas and institutional corruption in the healthcare sector, suggesting significant moral conflicts.
This thesis includes chapters 1-5 of a novel I am working on called Forged and two shorter stories titled "Half-Hearted" and "Second Place." Forged follows a clerical worker (Victoria Torres) at a medical device company and her journey as she navigates through internal corruption, secrecy, and even backstabbing. A horrific accident forces her to confront her own complicity in a system that is built on denial and cover-up, as well as her own ethical corrosion as she becomes further embedded in scandal.
