Evaluates long-term user satisfaction with Tandem mobile apps in diabetes management, suggesting continued high satisfaction levels.
Introduction and Objective: The Tandem t:slim Mobile App and Tandem Mobi Mobile App allow users to engage with their automated insulin delivery system from a smartphone. We analyzed long-term user satisfaction and perceived ease of use of the apps after the release of the newest algorithm update, Control-IQ+ technology (Control-IQ+) in March 2025. Methods: Data were analyzed from users of the Tandem t:slim or Mobi Mobile Apps who completed a 6-month satisfaction survey prior to Control-IQ+ launch and a 12-month survey after launch. Satisfaction and ease of use scores were measured on a 5-point Likert scale. Percent of users with Top 2 Box scores were calculated and compared with McNemar’s test between time points. Results: 409 individuals met inclusion criteria and completed the surveys. Both t:slim App users (49.5% female, median age 66.7 years, 83.9% T1D, 15.4% T2D) and Mobi App users (55.9% female, median age 58.9 years, 89.0% T1D, 10.3% T2D) reported high satisfaction and ease of use at both time points, with no statistically significant difference between 6 and 12 months for any paired comparisons (Figure). Conclusion: Tandem t:slim and Mobi Mobile App users report high satisfaction and ease of user over time, with persistent high satisfaction scores after the Control-IQ+ algorithm update. These findings are evidence of a strong user experience that persists with long term use, and across system updates. Disclosure K. Assadi: Employee; Current; Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. E.W.
