Case report highlights symptomatic thrombosed aneurysm treatment in a young female, indicating surgical intervention's effectiveness.
Aneurysms of the external jugular vein (EJV) are extremely rare. In the vast majority, these lesions tend to be asymptomatic and do not require active intervention. Here, we present a 26-year-old female patient with a painful left-sided neck mass for 1 week. Following ultrasound and computed tomography scans, she was confirmed to have a thrombosed aneurysm of her left EJV. To alleviate the symptoms and prevent the complications, she underwent surgical excision and made an uneventful recovery.
