Why the study?
Intradialytic hypotension is a frequent hemodialysis complication that increases the risk of arteriovenous fistula thrombosis, myocardial stunning, and death, prompting evaluation of its associated risk factors.
Older age, higher ultrafiltration rates, and higher pre-hemodialysis pulse pressure are independent risk factors for intradialytic hypotension in patients on hemodialysis.
