Reports discrete energy thresholds in catenoid collapse, suggesting new insights into geometric quantization.
Building on TUM-B1 [10.5281/zenodo.20574574], we report quantized energy barriers in soap film catenoid collapse. High-speed videography at 1000 fps reveals that transitions occur at discrete critical angles θ_c = 48.0° ± 0.5°, contradicting continuous classical models. We derive the threshold energy E_th = 2.79 × 10^-7 N from direct bending rigidity measurements, with no free parameters. This discrete spectrum provides direct experimental evidence for geometric quantization predicted by Clifford algebra Cl(8,0). Part 2 of the TUM-B experimental trilogy establishing the geometric foundation of physical law. All raw video data, tracking scripts, and analysis notebooks available.
