Demonstrates torsional modes and structural properties in soap film catenoids, suggesting new geometric models.
Experimental evidence of torsional modes and structural hysteresis in soap film catenoids beyond classical surface tension models. We demonstrate that minimal surfaces exhibit bending rigidity and support non-axisymmetric vibrational modes. Direct measurement of collapse thresholds reveals discrete energy barriers incompatible with Plateau's laws alone. This work establishes the experimental foundation for geometric unification via Clifford algebra Cl(8,0). Part 1 of the TUM-B experimental trilogy. Zero free parameters. Raw data and analysis scripts available.
