Evaluates antimicrobial potential of plant-derived silver nanoparticles against bacteria, suggesting biomedical applications.
AbstractThe current study concentrated on the environmentally friendly manufacture of silvernanoparticles (AgNPs) utilising Ficus racemosa stem bark extract. A colour shift from paleyellow to dark brown indicated the development of AgNPs, which were further examined usingFTIR and UV–visible spectroscopy. During the creation of nanoparticles, phytochemicalsincluded in the bark extract served as stabilising and reducing agents. Significant antibacterialefficacy against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli was demonstrated by the producedAgNPs. According to the study, plant-mediated AgNPs have significant antibacterial potentialand may find usage in biomedical settings.
