Cultivar selection and seeding rate are the most critical agronomic factors directly influencing yield and quality parameters in oilseed flax. Three oilseed flax cultivars (Beyaz Gelin, Karakız, and Sarı Dane) were subjected to three different seeding rates (750, 1000, 1250 seeds m-2) within the scope of this research. The experiment was conducted during the 2022–2023 winter growing season. A split-plot design was arranged, with cultivars assigned to the main plots and seed rates to the sub-plots. Significant differences were observed among cultivars for seed weight per capsule, number of seeds per capsule, thousand-seed weight, seed yield, and seed oil content. The response of the cultivars to seeding rate was significant for all examined traits, with the exception of the number of seeds per capsule. Furthermore, a significant cultivar × seeding rate interaction was determined for technical stem length, thousand-seed weight, seed yield, and oil yield. Correlation analysis revealed that seed yield was positively and significantly correlated with plant height, biological yield, and straw yield. Additionally, thousand-seed weight exhibited a significant positive correlation with seed oil content. The highest yield parameters were achieved by Karakız and Beyaz Gelin at 1250 seeds m-2 (2.00 t ha-1 and 1.83 t ha-1, respectively), and by Beyaz Gelin at 1250 seeds m-2 (1.92 t ha-1). Future studies should investigate the performance of the Karakız cultivar at higher seeding rate thresholds. Moreover, the significant link between biological yield and seed productivity indicates that increasing plant biomass could serve as a reliable selection criterion for high-yielding oilseed flax varieties.
