AbstractThe National Education Policy 2020 of India envisions a holistic approach to education that focuses notonly on academic success but also on the overall well-being and success of students. This research paperexplores the synergy between AI and the goals of NEP 2020, specifically focusing on how AI can contributeto student success using the PERMA model (Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, andAccomplishments). Through a comprehensive review of literature, case studies, and policy analysis, thispaper illustrates how AI can facilitate the cultivation of positive emotions, increase student engagement,foster meaningful relationships, and promote a sense of accomplishment, all essential components of studentsuccess. Furthermore, it discusses the ethical considerations and challenges associated with AI integration ineducation and offers recommendations for harnessing AI's potential to realize the goals of NEP 2020 forstudent success.
