Analyzes traffic relationships to enhance scheduling in time-sensitive industrial networks, indicating optimization potential.
Time‐Sensitive Networking (TSN) is the enhanced Ethernet technology dedicated to real‐time communication in future industrial networks. Traffic conflicts are a crucial in TSN as they directly influence routing and scheduling required for deterministic communication. Traffic relationships are essential for optimal scheduling algorithms and have yet to be thoroughly investigated for utilization in the design of scheduling algorithms. This letter analyzes the traffic scheduling and conflict generation process, and proposes TRA‐TSN, a traffic relationship analytics engine for capturing traffic features and relationships. Futhermore, the scheduling algorithms RSI‐SA and AMC‐SOA are designed to efficiently generate scheduling decisions for time‐triggered traffic. Simulation results verify the significant impact of the traffic conflict problem on scheduling and the effectiveness of our proposed algorithms.
