Demonstrates improved visibility in AI smart glass UI for elderly users, indicating enhanced social engagement.
The problem of a shortage of social members is becoming more serious as we move from the aging era to the super-aging era. In this situation, we intend to help solve social problems by researching the service design according to the characteristics of the elderly regarding the color of the UI in relation to the use of AI smart glasses that can help active seniors in social activities. As a research method, the color of the AI smart glass UI is extracted, compared and analyzed based on WCAG and APCA, and the color research that can improve the recognition of the UI is focused on deriving it through the literature, and it is suggested that the color of the UI can be tested to consider the visibility suitable for the elderly. As a result of the study, it was found that the current AI smart glass UI color does not take into account the illuminance during the daytime in which social activities are taking place, and it was confirmed that this problem can reduce the visibility of users, including the elderly. A color coloring test was conducted to study ways to consider visibility compared to the present, and it is hoped that the actual use for the elderly will be increased as these studies are considered. Since the interface environment of AI smart glasses analyzed in this study is HUD-type and is a rapidly changing technology, the visibility of elderly users may not have been considered. In addition, the failure to consider all the colors of the UI for the main function according to the characteristics of the user is a limited factor in the study. However, it is hoped that research on AI smart glass UI colors will be conducted quickly at the present time when social support is needed for the elderly’s social activities, and it will be a support plan to solve these social problems.
