Demonstrates inhibition of spontaneous combustion in coal using a bionic polymer, indicating improved safety.
According to the tendency and mechanism of spontaneous combustion of coal, a kind of compound polymer inhibitor with green pollution, strong adhesion ability, excellent oxidation resistance, and simple preparation has been developed. The coal samples were treated by preparing different concentrations of solution, and the thermal experiment on the inhibition of spontaneous combustion of coal by APCA inhibitor was carried out by C600 high precision microcalorimeter and gas chromatography. The thermal effect of the process and the changes of functional groups at different temperature stages were analyzed. The microscopic changes at different stages of spontaneous combustion of coal were revealed. The mechanism of APCA inhibition was analyzed from physicochemical properties. The experimental results show that ①APCA can delay the initial heat release temperature of coal, and the heat absorption and heat release equilibrium point of coal lags behind; ②the heat absorption performance of 8%APCA is the best, the heat absorption can reach 55,159.66 J/g, the initial heat release temperature is delayed by 18.01°C, and the absolute value of heat absorption can reach 2369.58 mW; ③when the temperature reaches 200°C, the concentration of CO2, CO, and CH4 in 8% APCA condition decreases by 50.4%, 40.7%, and 45.9%, respectively, compared with that in pure coal condition. ④APCA can eliminate coal active sites, trap free radicals, chelate metal ions, and inhibit coal spontaneous combustion in both physical and chemical aspects. The research results can improve the effectiveness and environmental protection of coal spontaneous combustion accidents and have important reference significance for theoretical research.
