Review discusses advances in abscisic acid analogues, highlighting structure-activity relationships and efficacy.
Abscisic acid is a widely distributed plant hormone involved in various physiological processes such as the acceleration of abscission, induction of dormancy, inhibition of seed germination and increasing of stress resistance. In this paper, progress in the research of abscisic acid analogues and their structure-activity relationship were reviewed. The analogues of abscisic acid (ABA) derived at C-8' and C-9' are successful at present, some of them have higher activity than ABA itself.
