Demonstrates reduced absenteeism in higher education, indicating potential for improved academic outcomes.
Student absenteeism in higher education significantly undermines academic outcomes and institutional efficiency. Traditional attendance management systems are often reactive and punitive, failing to address the psychological roots of disengagement. This paper proposes a Gamified Student Engagement Platform (GSEP) that integrates a tri-party stakeholder model involving students, teachers, and parents. By utilizing game mechanics such as points, leaderboards, and "streaks," combined with a dedicated Parent Module for real-time oversight, the system creates a proactive support ecosystem. The proposed architecture leverages real-time analytics to transform the classroom into a competitive and transparent learning environment. Preliminary expectations suggest a significant increase in lecture attendance and student-teacher interaction.
