New distribution demonstrates flexibility and capability in modeling real lifetime data.
Abstract-In this paper, we have incorporated a new class of Shreekant distribution termed as weighted Shreekantdistribution which has been formulated by applying the weighted technique to its baseline Shreekant distribution. The presented new distribution has been encompassed with comprehensive statistical properties via order statistics, moments, harmonic mean, reliability function, hazard rate function, reverse hazard rate function and momentgenerating function has been described and studied. Additionally, the parameters of explored new distribution havebeen estimated by using the maximum likelihood estimation method. Furthermore, the proposed new distributionhas been examined and analyzed by fitting a real lifetime data set to demonstrate its flexibility and capability.
