Develops a genetic transformation system for shoot regeneration in chrysanthemum leaves, suggesting improved plant propagation techniques.
A genetic transfomation regeneration system from aseptic seedling leaves of chrysanthe-mum (Dendranthema morifolium) was developed. Adventitious shoots were directly induced and regenerated from leaf explants of chrysanthemum, and the medium (MS+6-BA 3 mg·L⁻¹+NAA 1 mg·L⁻¹), which could directly induce shoot regeneration, was used. Shoots were rooted on half-strength MS media with IBA and NAA. The rooted plantlets grew well in greenhouse.
