Recording details condition of Osney Bridge in Oxford, highlighting need for improvement and future research.
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Morrison Water Services Ltd to undertake recording of the condition of Osney Bridge in Oxford. This is in relation to the 24" Trunk Main Replacement and Bridge Remedial/Improvement Works following damage to the trunk main where it runs under the bridge, which occurred in March 2021. The recording comprised a photographic survey of the bridge prior to the remedial/improvement works, accompanied by a brief written account. The aim was to create a lasting photographic record of the bridge's condition which will be available for future research and interest. The photographic survey of Osney Bridge was carried out on 7 April 2025. A photographic record of the bridge was made prior to commencement of repair works
