Demonstrates the efficient generation of thioester derivatives using thioamides, indicating utility in organic synthesis.
Herein, we have reported a BF 3 ·OEt 2 promoted nucleophilic ring‐opening of donor–acceptor cyclopropanes (DACs) using thioamides as nucleophile. This strategy offers a convenient and efficient synthetic approach to generate novel thioester analogues under mild conditions. The protocol exhibits broad substrate scope, accommodating various substituted DACs and structurally diverse thioamides. This versatility has enabled the construction of a unique and valuable library of substituted thioesters, which are of interest in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry. Moreover, the synthetic utility of the method was further demonstrated through successful downstream transformations, expanding the structural diversity of the resulting thioesters. This strategy not only simplifies access to sulphur‐containing organic molecules but also provides a robust platform for exploring new chemical space in organic chemistry.
