This research analyzes the impact of India's e-commerce policy on global trade dynamics, highlighting technological disruptions.
The rapid digitization of the global economy has transformed the way goods and services cross international borders. This research paper examines the multifaceted nature of cross-border digital trade, focusing on the transition from traditional export models to integrated digital ecosystems. The study explores the role of disruptive technologies—Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and Virtual Reality (VR)—in minimizing trade friction. Furthermore, it provides a dedicated analysis of the Indian context, specifically evaluating the impact of the National E-commerce Policy 2023 on MSME exports. Through the case studies of Amazon Global Selling and Amul, the paper demonstrates successful cross-border strategies. The methodology relies on secondary data analysis from 2021 to 2026. Findings suggest that while regulatory hurdles persist, technological adoption and favorable national policies are creating an inclusive global marketplace.
