Demonstrates the synthesis of fluoroalkenes in imidazoles, indicating a new method for complex compounds.
A ligand‐controlled Pd‐catalyzed N ‐fluorovinylation of imidazoles through selective C‐F bond cleavage of trifluoromethylated benzyl bromides is presented. This protocol offers a strategy for the synthesis of tetrasubstituted imidazol‐1‐yl fluoroalkenes in good yields, whereas the debrominated products could be obtained in the presence of ligand and reductant.
