Case report shows progressive improvements in vitiligo with homoeopathic treatment, suggesting effective management options.
A case of Acrofacial Vitiligo presents bilaterally on face treated with a single individualised homoeopathic medicine in which progressive improvements are shown by regular follow up in out-patient department with respective images. Introduction: Vitiligo is a common skin disorders in which there is focal failure of pigmentation due to absence or reduction of functional melanocytes that is thought to be mediated by immunological mechanisms. It is characterised by sharply defined areas of depigmented macules with scalloped outline often symmetrical especially when they are over the limbs and face. About 1% of total population worldwide is affected by it and is a serious cosmetic problem for darkly pigmented people. The condition often starts in childhood and either spreads, ultimately causing total depigmentation, or persists with irregular remissions and relapses. For assessment of severity of vitiligo, a new system for assessment is introduced called VETI Score (Vitiligo Extent Tensity Index Score)
