Report shows how digital adoption increased in manufacturing MSMEs, highlighting challenges in transition.
Bigger, small, and mid-sized businesses form the core of Pune's industry, especially in car parts and machinery work. With Industry 4.0 evolving, moving away from paper-based tasks toward connected systems is now essential just to stay active. Instead of fresh surveys, this report leans on existing material - documents from the Ministry of MSME, NITI Aayog, MCCIA, plus insights gathered by real estate analysts such as Cushman & Wakefield. It follows changes between 2020 and 2026, showing how worldwide shocks along with national efforts like "Digital India" and "MSME Champions" pushed firms to adopt new tools faster. Results show movement beyond simple steps like e-payments into deeper uses such as IoT networks and artificial intelligence tracking machine performance closely. Pocketbook limits plus a shortage of trained hands still slow progress down. Ideas at the close aim to help leaders and small business operators narrow the tech gap.
