Investigates optimal ozone production conditions in ozone reactors, suggesting improvements in efficiency.
Pulse‐modulated operation can enhance ozone generation in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) systems, yet its optimal conditions and mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates ozone production under constant power using combined experiments and simulations. Results show that lower duty cycles and frequencies, together with a moderate increase in gas flow rate, improve ozone generation, with optimal conditions at 15 kHz, 25% duty cycle, and 10 L/min, achieving a maximum production yield of 54.2 g/(kW·h). This enhancement arises from the coupled regulation of single‐pulse energy deposition and cumulative discharge behavior. Reduced duty cycle and frequency increase energy per pulse while suppressing ozone decomposition, whereas higher flow rates promote gas renewal and species removal. These findings provide mechanistic insight and guidance for optimizing DBD ozone reactors.
