Randomized trial examines drainage efficiency in soil around pipe piles, suggesting improved pore pressure modeling.
: The geometric configuration of drainage holes in permeable pipe piles fundamentally controls the drainage efficiency of surrounding soils. Conventional studies have predominantly employed simplified global impeded or semi-permeable boundary conditions due to the complexity of modeling authentic distributed drainage patterns, inevitably compromising the accuracy of seepage field simulations around permeable piles. This study develops an alternating direction implicit framework that enables both computationally efficient and physically accurate prediction of excess pore water pressure dissipation. The proposed methodology demonstrates excellent agreement with analytical solutions and experimental measurements, confirming its reliability. Comprehensive parametric studies yield practical design guidelines for optimizing drainage hole configurations in permeable pipe pile systems.
