Abstract

PID Alliance (APA DOCiD) in partnership with the Kenya Libraries and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) successfully convened a virtual webinar titled "Empowering Libraries, Archives, and Research Institutions through DOCiD and Open PID Infrastructure."The twohour session brought together librarians, repository managers, ICT teams, research directors, and researchers from across Africa to explore the transformative role of Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) in strengthening research visibility, interoperability, and the preservation of diverse knowledge systems.
